About Me

Hi, my name is Ellen or Emmy, depends really on what point of view you're coming from! My mother named me Ellen but I chose "Emgalla" (Emmy for short) as the name of my first toon in World of Warcraft. My guildies, on the other hand, call me "Cake" because I am sweet but squishy. Yeah, gotta give them credit for being uber-cute.

I first came across the game early 2007 when I worked for Gamestop. At the time, I had no interest in PC gaming not to mention I didn't even have a decent laptop to play PC games with. My manager had been playing for years, but it was only after he had conviced two other coworkers to try it did I follow suit (talk about peer pressure!). I purchased the game in May 2007 and started a guild in the Hydraxis server with my coworkers.

My first toon was a rogue named Callet, and I didn't really have much fun. The next class I tried was a hunter. No one taught me about macros and how to control that pesky little pet of mine so I didn't have much luck either.

Then Emgalla came along. (This is probably the only time "third time's the charm" usually applies to me >_<) On a whim -ok, i was coerced into a healing class!- I decided to walk a different path from most of my guildies at the time who all wanted to be DPSers. I healed my way through dungeons. By the time I was level 40, our guild had fallen apart. I bounced from one guild to another until I hit 70 and finally got into a decent raiding guild. In December 2007, I received prolly one of the most awesome birthday presents I had ever had: a PC gaming computer from my boyfriend... and everything else is raiding history.

You name the BC instance, I probably raided it. From Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon's Lair. Black Temple, Zul'Aman and Serpenshrine Cavern. I never got to see Sunwell /CRY

I leveled a paladin named Kloud (who had been given a name and sex change) to 70 towards the end of Burning Crusades and tanked with him during alt-runs. I leveled two others to 50 through Refer-A-Friend, but the rest I did on my own. When Lich King came out, I continued to get both these toons to 80 and raided with them on my current guild.

Since Wrath came out, I bounced around three raiding guilds and never really felt at home. Im between the raiding and all the drama that goes with it, I managed to level a hunter named Empresse. Then in October 2009, after months of contemplation, I decided to say farewell to all my friends in Hydraxis and transferred my 80's to Arygos.

My current in-game life with my guild -Methodical- includes progression-raiding on Emgalla, deciding on which of my 3 80's to bring to alt runs, giving my guildies all the tough love they can handle and driving my Guild Master and Raid Leaders to the brink of sanity.

My current real-life life (yeah, sure like THAT is possible) includes being a loving girlfriend to my guy and a walking talking pillow to my 20 lb cat, Bongo.
Whenever my fingers are not tickling these plastic knobs on my keyboard, I draw and paint (watercolor, acrylic and oil), sing and dance... and enjoy life.
